One of the four Inns of Court in London
The Inner Temple, in the City of London, is one of the four ancient Inns of Court and has been home, workplace, school and library to generations of barristers and judges. Today, as well as continuing to serve its thousands of members, it has become an impressive and prestigious venue for weddings and receptions, banqueting and corporate events. Nelson Commercial Kitchens has been involved in several projects across the various catering facilities it houses.
Our ‘pièce de résistance’ is a beautiful, completely bespoke servery within the vast Main Hall which had to integrate seamlessly into the heavily oak panelled room adorned with heraldic shields whilst also providing hot, cold and ambient display space for members’ lunches.
Adjacent to the main, basement kitchen, we created a huge new wash-up room capable of handling the thousands of items generated by the many functions held at the Inner Temple. This involved designing a complete system of shelving and racking as well as installing a high-capacity, energy efficient, conveyor dishwasher.
We also designed, supplied and installed a holding kitchen serving the main banqueting hall and a servery in the staff dining room where a wide selection of hot and cold foods and drinks can be enjoyed.
