The Angelic

Pub Kitchen
Islington, London.

A pub that’s passionate about great British food

Food is a serious subject at Islington’s Angelic bar. The menu focuses on freshly prepared, primarily British dishes, with a strong bias towards healthy eating. This destination venue commands excellent reviews with glowing reports and food now accounts for 30% of The Angelic’s sales yet, surprisingly, it is all produced in a tiny commercial kitchen measuring just 4 x 5 metres. Its efficiency, according to management, is down to Nelson Commercial Kitchens clever design.

Nelson won the kitchen tender because of our space saving ideas, organisation and, crucially, installation down time. Incredibly, once everything was agreed and signed off, the entire kitchen was completed in just 3 days! We created two distinct areas in the available space.

One section is dedicated to prime cooking and is fitted with a 6 burner oven range, a combi oven, chargrill, salamander and twin fryer. The second section contains a substantial food preparation area leading towards a separate dishwash station fitted with a Nelson Advantage Pass Through and complete with tabling. An undercounter and upright fridge provide ample chilled storage while both heated and ambient shelving and racking is sited where space permits.
