A renowned arts centre with an eclectic food offering
The Saatchi Gallery, situated on London’s Sloane Square, aims to provide an innovative forum for contemporary art, presenting work by largely unseen young artists or by international artists whose work has been rarely or never exhibited in the UK.
Award winning caterer and restaurant operator, rhubarb, provide all the food in the Gallery Mess restaurant, bar and café and commissioned Nelson to design and install a highly specified kitchen as well as front of house hot and cold display areas.
The eclectic menus range from simple fare to fine dining and food is available from lunchtime through to dinner. As well as this the Saatchi Gallery hosts weddings, social events and functions and also has a private dining room.
Working closely with rhubarb, we devised the extensive list of equipment required to service the various menus effectively and then created a design that maximised the functionality of the available space, allowing the flexibility that the chefs required.
